How It Started.
One of my first jobs out of college was at an ad agency in San Francisco working on an outdoor campaign for the San Francisco Chronicle (which went on to win a Gold Effie award and was featured in Communication Arts magazine for best outdoor board series...ahem). I remember San Francisco being deceptively cruel with its weather, golden sunny outside but simultaneously bitterly icy. One day, walking to work with my then drink of choice, a chai tea latte, I spied my work in the wild for the first time as it drove past on a city bus and I chased after it to get a pic to show my mom. That feeling, of seeing a great idea make it all the way from my notebook into the world is what's kept me in this game.
How It's Going.
Currently, I've been lucky enough in my super varied copywriting career to have written for the big Fortune 500 companies everyone knows and some smaller ones people might wish they knew. I've made many clients happy writing about what's new, what's what, and this, that, and the other thing. When I'm not writing, I'm daydreaming about surfing, continuing my Duolingo streak, attempting something recognizable on the ukulele (aargh!), or entertaining my giant, happy puppy and perpetually aloof cat. It's been such a great ride so far, and I can hardly wait to see what comes next!
