I’m Deb Waugh Williams. Senior copywriter, creative lead, and storyteller based in Los Angeles. I've made a career from words people like to read.
Sometimes I'm sharing the science of medical-grade skincare or translating the technology behind new software. Or, I might be Barbie's voice or part of the reason adidas connected with women who'd rather go swimming than sit on the shore.
I graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena with a degree in Advertising and started as an art director before realizing my calling was copywriting. Over the past 25+ years, I've been lucky to have written for the big, Fortune 500 companies everyone knows and some smaller ones you might now. I've also won awards and made many clients happy writing about what's new, what's what, and this, that, and the other thing.
Agency side or client side, freelance or full-time, my favorite work hits somewhere between strategy and storytelling, in that mystical, magical place where emotions and language cause people to feel, think, or do something. My forever goal is making great work with good people.
One of the best ways to get my attention is to offer me money. But I'd also love to hear about your favorite podcast, pirate joke, or where to find the best breakfast burrito in the South Bay.
There are a lot of Deb/Deborah/Debra/Debbie/Debby Williams
in this world (seriously, a LOT!).
There's only one Feeling Snappy portfolio site.
Thank you for checking out my work.
